KDSG relaxes curfew in 21 LGAs

Kaduna State Government has relaxed the curfew in 21 Local Governments while 24-hour curfew is still enforced in Chikun and Kaduna South.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Mr Samuel Aruwan says the State Government has accepted the recommendation of the security agencies for a significant relaxation of the curfew in most of the local government areas.

According to the statement, from Tuesday, 27th October 2020, residents can pursue their lawful business between 6am and 4pm daily while Curfew hours will be from 4pm to 6am, in all local government areas except Chikun and Kaduna South.

The statement notes that, Markets, offices and commercial centres, hotels and recreation centres in the two LGAs are to remain closed during the 24-hour curfew.

It emphasised that, social and mass gatherings are also prohibited in the areas until further notice, though essential services; hospitals and medical facilities are expected to offer services during this period.
