Leadership of Cattle and Foodstuff dealers under the aegis of Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria, on Wednesday, reversed their decision on cutting food supplies from the northern part of the country to the southern region.
This is coming after an agreement was reached in a meeting between the leadership of the trade union and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State in Abuja.
The northern traders had cut food supplies to the South region for about a week, claiming their members had been killed in the region.
The General Secretary, AUFCDN, Ahmed Alaramma, had said the President of the association, Mohammed Tahir, was with the Department of State Services over the blockade.
Meanwhile, Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere alongside Activist Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho and others had threatened to launch a campaign against cow consumption in the South-West.
