NUJ applauds Gumi for fight against banditry

The Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Kaduna State Council has Commended Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, for his role in the fight against terrorism and banditry in Nigeria.

In a statement Signed by its secretary, Comrade Femi Adi, NUJ applauded Gumi for his personal efforts  made to meet with kidnappers and  in their hideouts to convince them to lay off their arms against the Nation.

NUJ, however, expressed worries over the growing insecurity problem in Kaduna State, noting that what is happening in the state required the support of all citizens.


While urging its members to be security conscious of where they go and what they do at this critical times for their own safety, NUJ called on all the citizens to support the government in order to win the war against insecurity in the country.

NUJ further Condoled  Kaduna State Government on the  death of two prominent members of the Zazau Emirate Council; Dan Iyyan Zazzau Alhaji Bashir Aminu and Talba  Zazzau, Abubakar Pate, who died recently.
